Dia de los muertos, or whatever you call it in particular.

My wife and I have the pumpkins and candles out on the porch ready for tomorrow. Mrs. Abner bought bags and bags of the GOOD candy for the trick or treaters! We love Halloween.

    Have fun,

    Abner  BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAHAHAHAHHHHHHAAHEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!

Recently heard display of poor judgement by a friend of mine at my work: "I have bought several bags of candy for trick-or-treaters. I am putting it in my locker - please do not mess with it" - he has been finding wrappers in his gear, in his desk, etc. for a couple of weeks.

    Happy Halloween.

My son is going to be a 60's hippie (hopefully the Occupy people won't recruit him), and my daughter a blue Crayola crayon.

This is a bit old, but pretty cool if you haven't seen it, and both Halloween & education related :) A math prof at BIOLA has some fun with his students ...

That's the danger with buying the candy ahead of time. Many years ago, I bought a huge bag of Hershey's kisses to add to the candy stash we already had at home. I got home after a long day, and I guess I absent mindedly left the bag on the floor, I big no no when you have dogs. So anyway, we had dinner, watched TV, then went to bed. That night, my Akita (RIP) snuck into the living room where the candy was, and unwrapped each and every kiss! He then tried to brush all the stuff under the couch, be he was not very successful. He also had cholocate stains on his white fur muzzle area.

That little rascal!!!!!!! To my amazement, he never even got so much as a stomach ache.

My boys are going as Eeyore, a Ninja, and a French Resistance fighter. There are a lot of kids here on base so it should be fun, hopefully the weather holds up.
