The MA Department of Correction just graduated an academy class of 200+ new trainees, and they're in the prepatory stages of hiring another class (they're in the interview stage). The new bodies are sorely needed to address short-staffing and soaring overtime costs.

MA did an unusual thing about 15 years ago; they built some new prisons, but kept all the existing ones running instead of closing them. For example, the only maximum security prison in the state used to be MCI-Cedar Junction (formerly MCI-Walpole, where the Boston Strangler was killed), but the DOC built a state-of-the-art facility called the Souza-Baranowski Coreectional Center (named after 2 corrections officers killed in an attempted escape), which is now a Level 6 super maximum security facility, and Cedar Junction/Walpole continues as a Level 5 maximum security facility

I'd like to take a moment to tip my hat to all the corrections officers in the country. It's a tough, thankless job that I'm not sure I could do myself.

I'll second that except that I'm certain that I could not do it myself.

I got it Man, but I figured if I said anything you would ignore me anyway. That's an oldie but a goodie. "They Call Me Bruce". That came out in the early 80's if I remember. I also think that there was a sequel as well, but I do not remember if I saw it.

I was pretty young at the time, but I remember there being a lot and I mean a lot of "New" Bruce Lee's coming out in cinema. They would have actors name Bruce Li, or Bruce Le it was actually kind of comical. I still remember the first Jackie Chan movie I saw, it was called "The Big Brawl". I did not see it in the theatre but much later at a friends house who had it on VHS.

I miss those fun Kung Fu movie days. Now I'm too old and jaded.

But that still does not mean I cannot entertain my kids by making them watch "The Last Dragon"

    Who's the Master! Sho-nuff!

Bruce. You know you are destined to crush people's heads when your parents give you that name.

Me? Eh. I happen to be named after my great grandfather, Maniac James Craniac.

Sorry, I was never much into Bruce Lee films....the only martial arts movie I really liked was the parody "A Fistful of Yen", which was in Kentucky Fried Movie.
