Not the least of his crimes is the fact that he has enabled the media to use such oxymorons as "Christian terrorist." He has admitted to being responsible for the 93 (with count rising) deaths in Norway. His rhetoric is eerily similar to that of Islamic terrorist groups, which, IMO, should jog some people into the reality of the situation... that terrorism doesn't originate with Islam, nor any specific religion or end of the political spectrum, but with extremists who use [fill in the blank] cause to justify their heartless hate.

MC - the way you have typed that, it looks like a quote. I'm not sure he has said this of himself, has he? He has admitted his actions were politically motivated.

It is not a direct quote, it is a paraphrase (hence the single rather than double quotation marks). His goal was both religious/political and he did in fact use the words "right-wing" "Christian" and "crusader."

Let me paraphrase, "I am a nut!"

There's a pretty detailed post about it on the Get Religion blog The Atlantic has this terrorist all figured out » GetReligion I haven't done a lot of reading about it, but it seems like he considered himself a "cultural Christian" (ie socially) rather than a believing Christian (ie religiously). Of course, whether in his warped mind he thinks he is a Christian or not really is inconsequential ... he cannot be by definition, IMHO, given biblical teaching such as the verses MC cited.
