It was months ago, but I didn't start watching the tournament video until today. This is the major story of the whole event.

I once lost to a one-legged wrestler who put me in a bear hug and pinned me before I even heard the whistle blow. I was both upset by the loss, understandably, and impressed that my opponent had trained to enhance his strengths to the point where his lack of limb actually was not to be considered a disadvantage.

The video above shows a similar situation- the guy with one leg has built up his upper body strength and cardio to the point where his missing leg is moot. Many even argue that it is an advantage! They say that the "missing" weight from his leg allows him the unique ability to be in a weight class with wrestlers who have much smaller frames, and who have no experience working with someone with his anatomy. To that, I say :moon:.

I commend him for such an achievement with his handicap, but an he would be difficult opponent to wrestle being there is less to grab a hold of and the weight distribution would through me off for sure.

Makes me think of the one legged runner who won the olymipics but was DQ'd for having an unfair advantage. (Such Crap IMO, but I was a wrestler and not a runner so I have no expertise in this arena)

But man, what a huge accomplishment for the wrestler or any athlete for that matter.
