Morning Appointment: ECE Foundations of Gerontology
    Result: A

    Afternoon Appointment: ECE Juvenile Delinquency
    Result: A

Gerontology was the most annoying of all of the exams I have taken so far to study for. The content guide was so poorly organized and misdirected, and the texts themselves so unfocused and disjointed, that I had no idea what the exam was actually going to be about. Ultimately, I took detailed notes based on the text and memorized the glossaries, like usual. However, this exam really came down to reading the questions carefully and applying my now veteran test taking experience and skills, barely using any of the terms that I force-fed myself from the glossary :Eyecrazy:.

I thought Juvenile Delinquency would be a good exam, since the text was very clear as was the content guide. The text actually matched the guide, so I felt like my usual concept maps and glossary memorization would be more than enough to do the trick. As it turns out, this time it was the test itself that had barely anything to do with the study material! The test consistently used different terms to describe the same concepts as the book, meaning I had to go through several similar questions before I could figure out which test terms coincided with which text terms. Then, there was the fact that the three or so *major* laws regarding juvenile justice didn't appear on the test at all, but about a half of dozen other laws that made minor impact and can't even be found in the texts were asked about. Oh, and then there's the fact that about 5 different studies that were never mentioned in the text were asked about. Again, it was just a practice in picking the most sensible answer, reading carefully and gathering information from the text themselves.

Final thoughts: 6 more credits and two more As!!!!! :arms:
