I find this to be a bit much. more-money-for-struggling-homeowners-smartmoney: Personal Finance News from Yahoo! Finance When is a new program going to be released that is called "Being educated about and responsible for your decisions"?
Son of a.... when the heck are they going to start forgiving student loans? Wouldn't that be a nice change of pace
Well the student loans and government assistance my be cut if you go to a for-profit anyway so you will not have to worry about that...of course you can still spend $50-60K for a degee in art history or something like that at a state school / non-profit.
I don't know when, but maybe the banks that loaned those people the money in the first place should have to go through that program, as well.
Being microfrugal myself, I often wonder if I'm spending too much on every single aspect of my degrees... but you help to put it into perspective  I guess a couple of thousand on two career-applicable Bachelors isn't so bad compared to $60k on a degree shortcake.
