Does anyone have any good suggestions for homeschool curriculum in early elementary (K-3) grades?

I'm fine with either Christian or secular resources, but I do not want the A Beka curriculum.

My wife and I have mainly taken an eclectic approach, rather than utilizing a single homeschool curriculum. However the Core Knowledge series by E.D. Hirsch is quite popular among homeschoolers Core Knowledge® Bookstore :: What Your _ Grader Needs to Know. He has a series of What Your ____ Grader Needs to Know.

Also, when they star getting into math and science, check out Salman Khan's excellent series of free video-based instruction at Khan Academy.

We also use a very eclectic approach. We have used Bob Jones stuff, Saxon math, Singapore Math, as well as several other sources. We have three kids, separated by three years each, so that is why we have used so many different things. We also found that a curriculum that worked well for one did not necessarily work well for the others. On a side note, though we are active Christians, we do not use Bob Jones stuff for religion. But we do like their other academic materials.
