He's a chiropractor with two highly dubious naturopathic degrees, but in his promotional material and video, he identifies himself as an MD. Been doing this for years. His explanation: everybody is doing this. Dean Hughson found this article in today's paper: Tulsa chiropractor faces questions about misrepresenting himself as an MD | Tulsa World
I'll tell you what about this just cracks me up- a chiro naturopath turned MD? LOL, yeah right. My dad is a chiro and I live in Chiro-mecca (Palmer College is here, we have more chiro practices than banks), and while I believe it's mixed in with whoo, and can be too crunchy for me a lot of the time, real chiropractors really believe what they do. Genuinely. As a profession, chiropractors really object to much of the standards of allopathic medicine in our country. For every one I've ever met, it's slam fest against doctors not "understanding" their perspective on the body. For this guy to write "MD" after his name is pretty disrespectful to his profession, making me believe that at the heart of it, he'll "believe" whatever he can bill for.
I couldn't agree more....my chiropractor (Palmer College grad) is VERY proud to be a chiropractor, and makes it clear that he's an alternative to traditional medicine.
