YouTube - Deaf Ninja: DN vs TF

No, I don't expect you to understand what he is saying, but I think it is sufficiently expressive to be entertaining even to those who don't know ASL- and short enough to not bore you with all of that hand-flapping. Deaf Ninja is a somewhat famous fictional character that has appeared in several of Jared Evans' (the man in the video) stories. Enjoy!

Well, if I get that MBA afterall...
I would suggest that no one ever try to learn Sign Language in college, not even B&M. That is, if you actually want to learn anything! The only programs that I know of off of the top of my head are Troy University's Interpreter Training Program (we call these ITPs), Utah State University's BS in Communicative Disorders and Deaf Education, and ENMU's BS in Communicative Disorders.

Clovis Community College offers a plethora of ITP courses, but does not offer a degree of any sort in the field. I wouldn't be surprised to find a Deaf Studies degree somewhere out there, but I don't know of any.

I'm sure that video would have made a lot more sense if I knew ASL.

You should have kept it. I've known a few love-struck hearing men who learned how to sign and went on to marry the Deaf women of their dreams.

    OK, here it is.

    QUESTION:
Is it wrong to think that the only motivation for me to learn ASL is to pick up deaf chicks?

    BETTER QUESTION:
Will learning ASL improve my chances of picking up deaf chicks?

It may sound crude to some folks, but it pretty much the only reason I learned to speak Spanish, and that worked out splendidly. Heck, if ANY of my high school French instructors had told me that learning French would have helped so much in picking up French girls in Paris I would have done MUCH MUCH better in class.
