Another question I'm having about the new search feature, is using member history. If I enter a name, it limits my hits to threads started by the member- not what I'm looking for. Liking the new format less and less.:suspect:

I have the same question about searching for threads with that person not just ones that were started by them. I try to search for something I knw I posted in (because I liked the content) and remember a keyword - no luck because I do not remember who started it.

Yes, that's the problem I'm having. Additionally, we can no longer narrow to searching posts- only threads. Makes layers of info that can't be reduced.

I just clicked on your name (from this thread page), then clicked "View Forum Posts", and I found threads you posted in but did not start.

Might I suggest using google to search degreeinfo? As long as the thread isn't mere minutes or hours old, you should be able to simply hit google, type in the search term and end it with: site:degreeinfo.com.. e.g.:
...if it's a single word, no need for the quotation marks.

yes, but you can't search that way. So, for instance, let's say you and I were trying to find a thread we both posted in from last year but was started by someone else. If I searched a thread from inside the search mode, I can only see threads you started. So, it's a feature that's here, but why that can't be used from inside the search feature is confusing. For instance, try finding a thread that I posted in 6 months ago that contained the words "lab" and "biology" - you can't. You can search through allllll of my posts one at a time by clicking on my name (lol good luck with that) OR using the words lab and biology- but if you do that, you can't narrow by user.

Ah, I see what you mean. Have you tried adding the user name as one of the keyword search terms rather than entering it in the user name box?

Thanks! I'm going to call that a 90% win. I still can't get it to search for all keywords in one post- it spits out a thread that hits all key words, so not perfect, but it's a start. Now, if we could have our toggle button back that allowed me to select "search post" instead of mandatory "search thread" I'd be a happy lady.

Honestly my thought is this i wouldnt look to the bible for how the world was spread out and such because every religion is predates another so all we can do is know there is a god and realize.
