    Watched a documentary on Netflix instant view last night. It's called "The Parking Lot Movie" and it features (almost exclusively) anthropology, philosophy, sociology, and related humanities grad students/masters degree holders who work as parking lot attendants.

    Warning: this movie is....well....wait and see for yourself. Let's just say it's probably human nature to seek meaning in your existance. Enjoy.

    The evidence tech at the forensic lab at which I am employed has a degree in anthropology. The position just requires a degree but does not specify what area.

    I haven't seen it, but since the movie is set in Charlottesville, Virginia, I'd guess a lot of them have to come from the University of Virginia.

    Most of the sociology, humanities, and philosophy majors find rewarding and meaningful careers at . . .

    UVA? Well that would explain a lot... haha

    My sister graduated from Old Dominion University over ten years ago. Her degree was in counseling with minors in criminal justice and special education. Essentially, she wanted to work with juvenile delinquents. Well, no one around here would hire her because she was young, so she ended up taking a position as an office manager for a doctore. She's been working in the medical field since, and is no going back to school to become an RN. One of her pre-reqs is a computer class (basically Microsoft Office) which she is taking online. So, while it's no parking lot, at least she's working on something to change careers.

    I took a look at the clips they had on their site. Looks funny. For some unknown reason I had my netflix turned off, now I want it back. When I did that, they did not have that many online moives but now it appears they have a lot more.

    The old joke;

    Engineering majors say "This is how we do this".

    Sociology majors say "This is why we do this".

    Psychology majors say "This why we think about this".

    Philosophy majors say "Would you like fries with that?"
