    The woman claimed that she earned the Ph.D. because she did her husband's research for him. Now this is a new slant for the degree mill industry.

    If two (or more) can prove they each did the research and contributed to the writing of the dissertation, then they each receive a Ph.D.

    Not bad, 6 Ph.D.'s for the price of one.

    One of the more serious time bombs went off when a senior pediatrician at the University of California Berkeley medical clinic turned out to have no medical degree at all, but had stolen and used his same-last-name cousin's diploma, and said he had changed his first name.
