lol........Its cool! I got to check out what some of our members look like (Stalkerish). Someday everyone will be on facebook. I use facebook pm's now more than my email.
Mark my words: I will never be on Facebook. The only way I will ever have an account would be for use other than social networking (I hear they have games n' such), but I would use an alias and be just as anonymous there as I am here
haha. Actually, I've been playing Scrabble on my Ipod for the past week or so (obsessively, unfortunately), and getting a facebook account is the only way to connect with specific other people (rather than being given the name Guest1234 and being randomly chosen to face Guest6543). So far, I've played about 60 games and have only lost once (my opponent busted out with a lucky 120 point word, and though I caught up to within 10 points, he ran out of tiles first and ended the game on top )- so I've been thinking about making a facebook account so that I can find some (hopefully MUCH) stronger opponents.
Well yea, Scrabble is an interesting game that requires the use of your mind and a good knowledge of the English language (no wonder you win, MC) but Farmville is..is...mindless. I can't understand the fascination with the silly game. I have never actually played but I have a number of relatives who are hooked on it. So I am quite familiar. In fact, I usually "unfriend" anyone who plays because I get tired of reading the silly updates on their progress through the game.
Perhaps someone at Facebook who is interested in distance learning will find out about degreeinfo.com.
my wife and I just opened facebok accounts since a lot of people we know have them. We fail to find any use for facebook other than you do not need to know a persons email account to contact them. But it is amazing what people list; one person we know lists her birthdate, place of birth, address, email address, kids names, when she will be away on vacation, all her "friends", and much more - wow - that is an invitation to identity theft if I ever saw one.
Really, though, nowadays how hard would it be for someone to find most of that information anyway? -=Steve=-
She should also post here SSN and her diver's license number. Maybe her mother's maiden name too.
