Since July, work has me on a temporary assignment several states from home. Since I was unable to get home, the wife and kids came to see me - Best. Present. Ever.

 

I got a new Tag Heuer Link Calibre. I love watches!

 

The wife surprised me with an iPad, which I am using to type this , and an e-book, a Kindle. Loved them both

 

New wifi Xbox 360! I also blew my DL budget on my wife...Black Diamonds from Gordon’s; I should have it made for awhile.

 

I agree wholeheartedly; best present ever! Probably not cheap either.

 

I got a new surfing wetsuit, which I bought for myself a few weeks ago because I was freezing out there. Also got a Cuisinart Griddler (not very manly, I know) sort of like a George Foreman Grill but better.

 

Well, I'll get a pen and a piece of paper and go upstairs and inventory my loot.

From Mom and Dad: (1) two hand-painted ceramic elves, one holding the letters "NO" and the other holding the letters "EL." [NOTE: the funny part about this is that while these ceramic elves are supposed to be read as "NOEL," my brothers and I discovered that these ceramic elves could be re-arranged to spell "EL NO."]; (2) a fur vac (sweeper attachment designed to sweep up pet hair); and (3) three shirts.

Forgot to mention my very best Christmas gift of all. I got a tee shirt from my daughter that says "Vandelay Industries" and below it says "Importing and Exporting" and below that it says "Laytex Products" This will not mean anything to you unless you are a Seinfeld buff.

 

I got myself two additional 25" LCD monitors plus the current 32" LCD. That is my new setup for Georgetown's MPS, Capella's PhD, CISSP, CCNP, and day trading.

 

I got to spend all day writing papers which are due tomorrow. Finished one, still have to complete the other.

Actually, I ended up with a new pair of boots and a build-it-yourself black powder pistol kit.

 

A paper due the day after Christmas? That's brutal! I didn't think there were any schools in session right now.

 

No joke, I'm taking SPST611 and SPST616 at APUS, both 8 week courses running from Nov. 1 to Dec. 26. Finishing early wasn't an easy option because I have a full time job, a family, and my wife got the flu this week. I'm not worried, because I did the same thing last year...
