Independent Education (aka Home School) For Parents and Children

Those that read and/or participate in this forum obviously value distance education and independent study. Logic tells me that these values should translate into a greater understanding and advocacy for the parental right and ability to privately educate our children. Even though the primary intent of this forum as a whole is to host a community of individuals pursuing higher education, I believe that the concept of independent study is not the exclusive property of those 18 and over.

Other resources exist for those interested in home schooling. However, I find this forum to be populated by very active, engaged, and intelligent souls who have a propensity to share information openly and candidly. I am therefore creating this thread so that those interested in home schooling children of any age can share resources, and so that any other related topics can be discussed in a consolidated thread.
