I have been having a bad week. I can't seem to focus and can only read a few pages without stopping to do something else. I have been putting school work off till the last minute as well. Any tips to get over this?

This has happened to me. If at all possible, take an actual break. If you keep depleting, you can't recharge.

I think that this is a fantastic topic. Clearly it has to do with DL but it could easily have to do with any other endeavor or project. Trying to get back "in shape?" Trying to finish the basement? Trying to write the great american novel? (that's me). We all get stale or derailed. How to get back on track? There's a bunch of ways. One way to start is to visit our friends at Phinished and read through their Daily forum.

Exercise is a great help, even if it's not strenuous. A nice, brisk walk with the dogs does wonders for me. Which is where I'm off to right now! :)

That's what I did today. It felt good getting away from my desk. I will know in the morning if it helps.

I usually procrastinate by finding mini projects around the house. I have two German Shepherd's so my projects usually mean vacuuming up dog hair or picking up dog poop. (Yeah I know, party animal)

Usually when I take care of the little activities plaguing me, I can concentrate on my studies.

I cut down all the [evil, non-native invasive] blackberries in my yard. I still can't make myself look at hand-calculating production schedules for my operations management class, and I can barely move my arms, but it's good to take a break.

I think I got back on track. I needed some motivation so I went online and looked at Diploma frames. The thought of getting done and getting it up on the wall got me moving.
