Tom and other like-minded folks, Here is an interesting Indian expression of the Catholic faith in the from of a school of theology: http://www.dharmaram.com/default.htm
How delightful, Bill! Thank you! When I took Sanskrit a few years ago, I wanted to learn the Gayatri (an ancient Hindu prayer of roughly the same length as the first stanza of "Amazing Grace"); my professor loaned me a tape of Gayatri recitations she'd picked up while in India (traditionally, one recites the Gayatri 108 times at a sitting); this was an extremely popular tape in India, the performer a middle-aged Indian fellow called Yesudass. I knew "das" designated "servant"/"mendicant," but I was trying to figure out who this unknown figure "Yesu" was. And then it hit me. Peace, ------------------ Tom Head www.tomhead.net
