Just wanted to let people know the back-to-school sales are already starting.

Through tomorrow, Staples has 8 pencils for a penny, (limit two 8-pencil packs if you're not a teacher*) and folders at a penny a piece, too, with some sort of limit. You have to spend $5 to get the deals. Printer paper is on sale for a penny, but you pay for it and get a rebate.

WalMart (at least near us) has 70-sheet spiral notebooks for 15 cents, folders for 15 cents, and "economy" binders for 75 cents. Notebook paper is 75 cents. I have no idea if there are any limits. I bought 40 spirals w/o any issues. WalMart's pencils were 97 cents for a 24-count pack.

And sorry - I can't remember how much pens were. We didn't need any, so I didn't buy any at either store.

Anyway, even if you aren't buying for kids, you may want to stock up for your own note-taking/studying purposes. (LOL! Or am I so behind the times that college/distance learners type all their notes on a laptop now?)

*Homeschool moms (dads?) - you can register with Staples as a teacher. Go to their website and SIGN UP to get a teacher rewards card/number which lifts the limits on what you can purchase on sale.
