I'm not so sure you'll find anyone here who is enrolled in the AJU program. But here are some thoughts... Pro: Accredited by the DETC, a recognized accreditor. Price. Probably not too difficult. Useable in the workplace. Con: Accredited by the DETC. While a legitimate accreditor, degrees from such schools are not as widely accepted in academic circles as are those from regionally accredited schools. Prior to DETC accreditation, AJU claimed accreditation from an unrecognized and illegitimate accrediting agency. This type of activity tends to fool the consumer, and should be considered in a negative light. It is not known whether AJU's pre-DETC activities would have a negative effect on future graduates. I think to a large degree not. Most of the world hasn't even heard of the school, much less its dalliance with bad accreditation. Whether or not a degree from a DETC-accredited school will meet your present and future needs is not a given; you should consider this point very carefully. Additionally, there are now hundreds of other, better accredited options available to you. Some, such as Heriot-Watt University and Cal State U. Dominguez Hills, are very low cost (relatively) as well. Good luck. Rich Douglas

Another odd sort of problem AJU alumni could face is that there have been two other MBA-granting Andrew Jackson Universities in recent years -- one totally fake, and the other (the one run by Jean-Maximillien de la Croix de Lafayette) unaccredited and non-wonderful. So people doing a thorough search of the name will also run across those, even though neither is still in business.
