A colleague in England sends me information on something he says is a growing problem: Nigerians seeking degrees come into England on a tourist visa, then commit a very carefully structured crime (from a list they have been provided by a 'consultant' -- a crime that will result in 3 to 5 years in prison. Apparently non-violent inmates in the UK have the opportunity to take pretty much full time distance learning courses, leading to a degree (at no cost) awarded around the time of their prison release.
I worked for TDCJ for a few years and those guys get the best education from a state college money can buy, masters, phd's etc. It killed me to watch a turds who will never see the light of day get an MBA from UT.
