Worst-Paying College Degrees- Yahoo! HotJobs Probably no surprises here, but the common theme is that many people choose these degrees out of passion rather than for prestige or mountainous financial gain. Although, I don't know any social workers who REALLY like their jobs.
I am shocked with degree in Hospitality and Tourism. I though the degree is really rewarding for managing hotel and travel agencies.
I agree. I would think that if you're willing to relocate (in that field how could you possibly be unwilling to relocate) then you could do well working in hotels, resorts, etc. I am thinking of going on vacation to Mexico this summer and there are a million resorts down there now. You take that hospitality degree and pair it up with the Spanish degree and you've got the backbone of a great career. Mmmm, Mexico.
>> It's because of the tourism and/or recreation aspect of the degree. It's a common mix-up. Tourism and hospitality jobs are with places like a city's visitors and tourism bureau, tour guides, or travel agents. Hotel people get business or managment degrees.
