Nice story! The one anchor joked about her being 104 when she'd graduate college. (Apparently she'd be on the six year plan.) When my wife earned her BA from the University of Delaware, there was an 88 year old woman getting her degree. They stated she was the oldest person to graduate from UD. I think that's pretty neat. It's amazing we have these older people continuing their education. I just wish their teenage counterparts would realize the importance of it. -Matt
older graduates I was watching a sample lecture on the Harvard Extension website from a course on psych of aging. The professor mentioned a woman who'd taken 16 years to get her degree from Harvard. She was in her mid70s when she started, but had promised herself she was going to get a college degree. Great stories and motivators...
