    Thank you, Ted.

As I write, we are exactly 18 minutes away from the official Pi Day moment: 1:59 pm, as celebrated in Cambridge, Mass. as well as Cambridge, England.

    3/14 1:59

And Einstein's birthday, to boot. Not to mention Billy Crystal, Hank Ketcham, Georg Telemann, and Kirby Puckett, providing clear evidence of the validity of astrology.

Congratulations on having reached 29! And thank you for introducing so many of us to the wonderful world of non-traditional education (and the non-wonderful world of diploma mills).

    jhek: "How young are you?"

John: My wife says the only question is whether I am two 36-year-olds or three 24-year-olds.

Alternative answer: three years younger than "Grandma" Moses was when she took up painting.

    John:
Thank you for your years of work stamping out diploma mills and working to focus a spotlight on the good and bad in distance education.
