I've got one of these on my Shelf of Odd Political Stuff, along with the Bill Clinton pencil sharpener (don't ask where you stick the pencil) and the Reagan & Gorbachev boxing puppets, among (my wife says) far too many others.

My father was a bank president; I've actually held a $10,000 bill in my hands.

If hyperinflationists are correct, it might only buy you a cup of coffee eventually. :D

This is nice, but try buying a gallon of milk with it. :)

I'm sorry until Bruce posted I was sure this was a joke, there is really a 10,000 dollar bill? Or am I being gullible.

Anyway, who's face is on that I wonder....

Its real... Salmon P. Chase (no kidding) is the on the $10,000 bill.
I'd rather have a few stacks of the $100,000 bill, with Woody Wilson on it.

I guess it makes sense, a 100 dollar denomination is a bit small for truly large transactions.

    Touche. :p

My dad told me the $10,000 bills were used for transactions between banks (pre-computers), and the $100,000 bills were only exchanged between Federal Reserve Banks. No actual person ever had a $100,000 bill.
