Hi All, We're about to start talking about political campaigns in my PLS 211 course, and I've been scouring YouTube for political ads. I've found a few, but I'm looking for others that I recall seeing in a video a professor showed in a course I took a few years ago. I've been trying to find this video, but I seem to be losing that battle. Do either of you know of any good educational videos that simply have compilations of political ads? The one I saw (twice actually, because I took 2 courses with the professor) had ads at the local, state and national level. I remember there was an ad about some sheriff running for re-election and he stated that the police weren't doing their jobs, so her became sheriff and fired them. There was another attack ad against Paul Trible (who is the president of CNU where I took the courses). If anyone can suggest a video, I'd like to try to track it down. In the meantime, however, if you can suggest any good websites to find ads, I'd appreciate it. I know about the Living Room Candidate, which is great. I'm looking for the bizarre, controversial, and humorous ads. Thanks! Matt
Well it isn't exactly what you're asking about . . . but this is the funniest and cleverest political "commercial" I've ever seen: http://folksongsofthefarrightwing.cf.huffingtonpost.com/
