When I click on a link, it will not open and freezes up the computer. I then have to ctr alt dlt to unfreeze it and sign back in again. I think it has something to do with windows updates (I have not done it). It is getting really frustrating. I could not open the link to raristud's cement block breaking post! Aside from that, I have no other problems. I am thinking of taking it to this little shop by my house. They are honest, and get the computer back to me pronto!!!! I think I will drop it off to them tomorrow, shouldn't be too expensive. Ay dios! It is always something with me. Have a good Thanksgiving everyone! Abner
With Microsoft Windows a fresh re-install is recommended every 6-12 months even with Microsoft Windows XP. There are snapshot or time machine utilities that can be used to restore to a known good state assuming you actually made a snapshot beforehand. Windows XP Backup Made Easy.
I would clear the cache, temp internet files, and cookies. If that does not solve it use the Start | Programs | Accessories | System Tools | Restore to roll it back to a time before you had the problems.
I would second this suggestion, Windows needs a fresh reinstall at least once a year or it really bogs down your machine
Thanks! You and Randell just saved me between $60.00 - $100.00 (shop minimum). The computer works great now! Abner
Hold on now, you don't get off that easy Sensei Abner. Randell might appreciate a bottle of wine while I'll settle for a small pepperoni pizza. ;-)
I will pass on the wine but did someone say Sensei....hum....I have been taken aikido lessons and could use some help....
If you lived closer I would buy you a Extra large pizza with all all the toppings. That is what they call here a meat lovers pizza (6 kinds of meats). It's funny, the pizza here in the US is so different than the pizza I had in Italy. Thanks man, Abner
Good job! Aikido as such a beautiful flowing art. PM me if you have any questions. The most important thing in anything is practice, practice, practice. Keep it up! Abner
