I received the Fall/Winter issue by mail a few weeks ago but it is now available to read online at https://www.excelsior.edu/Excelsior_College/Live_and_Learn_Magazine This issue has a some interesting articles: (1) Fact or Fiction - the truth about career myths (page 20): Planning a career or changing jobs - there was some discussion on this forum on this recently. (2) McDonald's employees can now earn 21 credit hours from Hamburger University (page 19). (3) Soledad O'Brien - awarded an honorary Excelsior degree - the article on page 4 describes her experiences as a daughter of an interracial marriage. Plus other info on veterans and benefits for military spouses.
Soledad O'Brien is a reporter for CNN and has recently completed two special series for CNN regarding race. The honorary degree might have been related to her work as a journalist. The special series were interesting if not slightly superficial in some aspects.
