Earning a university degree was never meant to train anyone for a specific job. The point of earning a degree is to develop critical reasoning and thinking skills which can be useful regardless of eventual employment. Back in the day employers used to actually train new hires and having a degree was essentially a guarantee of employment. Are some degrees better suited for certain career paths? Absolutely.

The guy in the news item has been offered a position with a firm. He just wanted to stay on the street for the five days. Wonder if he accepted the position?
