Hi everybody - It's a long holiday weekend in my neighborhood and everyone has some plan on how to relax and have some fun. There are a few grinches out there who are going to workworkwork. Sorry grinches. Hopefully you'll have your own holiday soon (we used to call it Saint Swithens Day, it happens whenever you need it to happen). One of the waifs has said he's going to BBQ at my place and bring EVERYTHING himself. So you know that all the other waifs will show up. Either they'll get a feast or they'll get a chance to bust their friend forever. Whatever happens we'll be smiling in the sun. I hope you'll all be smiling too.

Labor Day is the traditional start to the new academic year. Tell us what you'll be doing this Labor Day weekend (and beyond).

Right now this is a perfect evening. The temp is mild (75 degrees) no wind, no humidity. I'm sitting in my little study and right outside my window is a mature maple tree that is putting out some red leaves. This tree is the first sign of autumn and so, you heard it here first, it is officially Fall.

Tomorrow I'm going to be traveling down to the Woodstock Fair.

It's my traditional Labor Day weekend destination. I'm hoping to have a small entourage of waifs in tow (sometimes they really need to get out). I love all the boothes where people are selling stuff. I eat all kinds of junk (don't eat the corndogs) and buy all sorts of weird stuff. It's the most fun. I hope you'll all be having fun too.
