finding at least six scholarly, peer-reviewed sources. These must be read and summarized. The sources need to be outside of those assigned for reading for this class. The information needs to come from a variety of relevant and current sources (published since 1995 unless the source is considered a classic in the field).

These can be articles, book chapters, web documents, etc.

I have access to the university library, but I am having a hard time finding information, but while I am trying.

I would love to know of other resources to find these journals? Free? Thank you.

I have found Google Scholar to be useful for finding things I need. Finding 6 articles should be a snap.

If there is particular article that you need that your university doesn't typically subscribe to, you could probably get it via InterLibrary Loan. You should contact the subject librarian for your university.

I have used google (general) to search (often using site:edu as a filter). this turns up a lot of good articles in downloadable format. Then searching based on the exact title I can find the dsource to cite.

Many university libraries also have electronic access to the publishers web site for further searching and downloading. Go to the libraries web site and look for something like "Research Databases". Using a Citation Linkeer or Cite Seer type engine (also often found on library websites) can give direct links to the articles.

I would famliarize myself with the university library nevertheless. Those databases are optimized for academic research and save you a lot of hassle. Most libraries offer walk-in assistance and even DB research workshops.

I will second Google Scholar. For psychology topics, I frequently find entire articles in pdf format, powerpoints from conferences and really long article summaries.

It really diversifies what resources I get and increases the number of available citations.

Also, contact your school and local libraries. Between the two, I've got access to TONS of really expensive journals for free. Your instructor might also have more resources.
