Many who set up booths in flee markets sell expensive items. That is one of the reasons why they often fail and vendors often leave with dissatisfaction. People quickly learn that bargains are elsewhere and mainly do window shopping.
I personally love going to flea markets. Sometimes my wife and I just go to look around, people watch and buy all kinds of interesting things. One of the flea markets is located in this huge place that used to be a drive-in. What I like is they have all kinds of things from just about every part of the world. I sometimes buy illegal (don't tell Bruce) baby red ear slider turtles that are the size of a quarter. I just can't resist the little guys. Once they get to big, I release them into a nearby university lake with permission from the park administrator. Anyway, part of what I love is the excitement of being around several different cultures at once. I love it. On the down side. If I go to a flea market in the swankier side of town, the products are as much, or sometimes more than they are at the local mall. So I don't even bother with those, I might as well go to the mall. see ya! Abner
I like outdoor flea markets the best. Especially the big ones that sell wholesale products and other items that malls and stores do not sell. I remember when vendors use to sell pogs. Vendors made lots of money until the pog craze died down.
I like going to them once and awhile. You never know when you may stumble on something which is actually a pretty good deal. My aunt bought a beautiful old armoir and refinished it. it looks great.
Heck yes you can find good deals. Sometimes they are fun just to walk around at on a nice sunny day. Welcome Angie, Abner

It's outdoors, it's rain or shine, it's bigger than you can really cover in a day. If you really want to do Brimfield the right way it takes all weekend. I go for one thing and one thing only. Coins. I routinely come home with all sorts of junk. Flea markets are fun.
Outdoor flea markets are great and they are cheap for vendors. Customers can find great bargains or shop around for stuff they don't need but want. A flea market that does not have an area for antiques or produce or old books or a corner psychic is not really a true flea market.
