That is latin for "lazy" syndrome. Here is how it happened. I ordered a book a couple of months back. Something happened, I did not start a new class because I was waiting for the book which never arrived. I was given a refund with an apology. However, I have not ordered a new book. The Huevnitis has been preventing me from wanting to start another class. I have two classes and a capstone to go before receiving my MBA. I have been rationalizing by saying this in my mind: "Abner, just take it easy dude, at this point you are in the middle of the holidays, and maybe you should just wait until after January of 2009, plus you are one handsome devil." Has this happened to anyone else?

At this point I am thinking a few extra months to get my degree is no big dealio. At the same time, I don't want to get to unmotivated.

    Comments please,

    Abner :)

Yes, but I slap myself (literally) out of it!
    No sea Huevon!(don't be a slacker) :D
I am taking a break of 3 days before I charge it again (I need the break).

    Abner,

finish the courses. Better to have the degree and not need it than vice versa. One of the things I do is treat course assignments as exams and block out three hours to dedicate to the assignments periodically through the week. That way I can be lazy the rest of the time.

More importantly, the ever elusive promotion may come up and wouldn't your resume look good with a newly minted MBA (maybe as good as that mirror that seems to be lying to you :D ).

You have the rest of your life to take a break and relax....finish the degree, then relax.

Until your start your doctoral program. :p

Oh boy! You are going to make my head get bigger. :) You are right though, I guess I need to order a new book and get on with it. I needed a good kick in the rear. It is easy to get lazy.

Hope you had a good Thanksgiving!

I think the MBA will be the end of the line for me. I will probably pursue other degrees and certificates though. Although I do work for the union, I am a non paid member who is certified to represent the union. If I retire early (a long way off), I think I would like to work directly for the union. I like organizing and shouting really loud into a bullhorn! :) Some of my degrees will probably be in the labor areas.

    See ya,

    Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I did it. I went on ebay (I had a gift card) and just ordered the book I needed for my next class. I have overcome huevonitis. Thanks for the encouragement. Plus, I got a great deal.

I will admit I have thought about the low cost SA doctorates. I am a sucker for a bargain.
