Anyone here going? My wife and I went last year. The mall near her parents opened at 3AM, as did most stores nearby. I guess the economy is hitting them hard because most places around here aren't opening until 6 or 7. We're going tomorrow, but we have no idea what we'll get.

We are. It is time for a new TV.

We have a specific one targetted and either the wife or I will be at the store when it opens at 4 AM.

    Have you checked:

    http://www.blackfriday.info/

many of the stores are offering free shipping. I ordered a GPS for the same price and it was shipped free.

I bought a TV and surround sound at Bestbuy earlier this week for the Black Friday price. Many of these retailers are offering the discounted price early.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

Indeed, I picked up some replacement parts for my laptop and got (another) free flash drive as a bonus, lol.

However, I am not going to be shopping on Friday, I'll be working 10am - 9pm thankfully. I get there one hour before the sale ends, lol. Just the trouble of finding a parking space I suppose.

I avoid it like the plague - far easier to go online than to a mall and that leaves me free for a post-turkeyday bike ride (as long as I avoid mall areas). There he goes, pedaling his butt all over town!

Our local Wal-Mart trumped everyone. They were open all day on Thanksgiving, and all night Thursday night.

Mr. Sam must be spinning in the grave. In his time, the policy was not to open until after church on Sunday.

Well, my wife and I survived. We waited in line at Kohl's for 45 minutes in order to get to the register. We didn't think that was too bad. After all, at least it was inside. Lowe's, Wal-Mart, and Target really had no wait once we got in. They had every lane open, which definitely helped.

The best deals we got were in Carters, the kid's clothing store. Everything was 50% off, then you got an additional 10% off coupon in store. If you were signed up for their emails, they sent you an additional 25% off coupon. We got my daughter a plethora of clothes, which was great because she's growing so fast and, although she's only 10 months old, she's too tall for the 12 month clothes.

We might go back out later, after I finish my last few assignments for my class. All in all though, it wasn't that bad.

In his time, his workers were probably treated fairly.

Hope you had a good Thanksgiving Doc!
