I had some "traditional" college kids in some of the undergrad courses I took during the summer, and was positively amazed at the number of CJ students who thought it was okay to smoke weed, as long as they stopped after graduation.

It was reported on the evening news that one of those arrested asked if this would affect his ability to become a federal agent.

I've been employed in a forensic laboratory for more than 10 years. Every so often we get interns. One student intern had been arrested for rioting (don't know how he got past the background check). He claimed he was in the wrong place at the wrong time and not actually participating. I explained to him that it doesn't matter. When openings occur employers have plenty of qualified applicants to choose from. There will be no need to select someone with such a blemish on their record. Maybe it's not fair, but it is reality.

I'm sure they were only 'experimenting' and didn't actually inhale ;-)
