http://zeitgeistmovie.com/ I highly recommend this movie.. it's excellent and I'm curious to hear some of the views from this board, particularly to parts II & III.
I actually enjoyed part I the most. I was shocked at what they said about how all relgions are basically the same and are based on the stars. I think it was hard to believe but there was too many examples to ignore. The 9/11 stuff was hard to swallow as well, I do know first hand that most of the quotes were taken out of context and the evidence they reported was not reported anywhere else. This means one of two things, there really is a big conspiracy or it means they made it all up to further the "truth" movement.
I guess the fact that the official Zeitgeist website includes a long and glowing testimonial for Ron Paul for President is all I need to know. (http://zeitgeistmovie.com/activism.htm) The always wonderful Snopes.com site addresses many of the concepts in the film, such as this report on the bogus "North American Union" plan. http://www.snopes.com/politics/immigration/nau.asp
Putting the Ron Paul issue aside, I searched for "North American Union" and there are 1.5million hits... and what about Lou Dobbs' report? ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tlp-7zYbzNM ) ..hard to ignore, wouldn't you say? 9/11 does leave a lot of questions unanswered, wouldn't you agree?
Given that the U.S. would dominate such a union both from population and economics, I'm not sure why it's Americans who seem uniquely fearful of such a thing. You'd think that this would be a bigger conspiracy theory in Canada and Mexico -- it would be more like they were being annexed. -=Steve=-
