I know I'm rather new to these forums, but I thought I'd just add that my wife just gave birth to our first child, Reagan Iliana Brent, on Tuesday evening at 11:47 PM. She was 8lbs, 5oz, and 21 inches long.

If anyone would like to see pictures, you can go to my website, www.mattbrent.net and click on photos.

    We're both really excited!

Haha... we've been asked that a number of times, but no, we didn't pick the name based on Ronald. People seem to think that since I'm a history teacher, that was my logic. Some people even tried to tell us it was a horrible choice because it was the character in The Exorcist. Nice...

We actually picked the name while flipping through the "Infinite Plus 1 List of Baby Names" or whatever the books are called. It is Celtic and means "little ruler". The middle name, Iliana, is Greek and means "from Troy". Thus we have Reagan Iliana, the little ruler from Troy. And if you throw Brent into the mix, well, that's "on top of the hill". So you might say we have a "Little ruler from Troy up on the hill." Kind of "King of the Hillish" if you ask me! :)

So, does this mean she'll find a guy named Paris Alexander, marry him, and rule from atop the hill of Hissarlik? :D

As long as no ships are launched, I'd be alright with that :)

    Matt,

Congratulations. We had our first child a year ago...there is simply no way to convey in words the emotions you feel in that moment.

Enjoy every moment - each stage is so different yet so special.

    Peace,

    Dave C.
