It was sad to see him embarrass himself that day. He was a great player and I hope that his earning this degree is an indication that he's doing better in his life.
Hey, it never hurts to ask. I thought it was hilarious at the time. Suzy should have been flattered because Broadway Joe has most certainly been kissed by some of America's finest ladies.
No, but asking twice when you're drunk isn't the best thing to do during an interview. Evidently he went to rehab after that, so presumably he is doing better. (Of course, I didn't actually see it, I just read the Wikipedia article. To me Joe Namath is just a spokesman for Flexall 454.) -=Steve=-

Calvin Lowry of the Tennessee Titans also recently completed his degree from Penn State. I thought this part was cool. ...He put schoolwork on the back burner during his rookie season to get acclimated to the NFL, then picked up where he left off with the two college classes he needed to earn his degree. He took those courses online, and the Titans proctored his exams and paid for his flights when he was required to be on campus at Penn State.... Take care of the employees! ;-)
