Occasionally I have touted the benefits of joining a professional society to enhance ones career. Today I received in the mail Excelsior 's "Live & Learn" magazine for Fall 2007. A Canadian man named Lal Balkaran wrote three excellent and helpful books, describing many of the world's professional society and designations, and the reciprocal privileges they offered one another, from country to country. Sadly only one is still in print: http://lbapublications.com/
