I am trying to find a manager to manager field service engineers on the west coast. I am having a real problem finding people. What is the job market out there? This position has been open for six months and all I am looking for is someone that has a real degree, field management experience, and willing to travel. What is the deal??????

Overview: Los Angeles, CA - The Area Service Manager is responsible for the overall support level of customers related to endoscope service products within an assigned geographical area. Additionally, an ASM is responsible for the coordination and continuous development of resources to drive the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Routinely analyze trends and key issues that impact business results. Creates objectives, strategies, and tactics for overcoming key issues. Provides leadership and direction for the service area team to consistently meet or exceed performance objectives. Provides continuous evaluation, development, ... Qualifications: (ONLY QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED) Solid working knowledge of electronics and mechanical systems is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Experience in Field Service and/or Sales Support is necessary. Must have technical writing skills and business management skills. Strong presentation and organizational skills are a must. Must be a self-starter requiring minimum supervision. Must have a valid driver's license. A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Bio-Medical, or Computer Science; or an Associate's Degree in the above disciplines with a minimum of 5 years work experience in Medical or Electronics field is required.
