Famous and/or Important People Without College Degrees

    Hi everyone,

I saw a list awhile back (maybe in BG?) that showed famous/important people that never earned a degree. I know the usual suspects....Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, but I was wondering if there was a comprehensive list somewhere?

I did used to maintain and publish a list but not for many years. I believe Harry Truman was the last US president without one, and John Major the last UK prime minister.

Here's a few in my memory bank:
William Faulkner, Larry Ellison, Michael Dell, Steve Wozniak, Rush Limbaugh, Moses, Woody Allen, Ted Turner, Barry Goldwater, Peter Jennings.

    Bill Gates
    Paul Allen
    Moses Malone
    Neil Hayes

I guess the list is bigger than I thought.

The stories about Doris Lessing winning the Nobel Prize for literature mentioned that she is a high school dropout.

I guess I should have read your post first I repeated some of yours...

I like how you threw Moses in there, but now that you mention it i don't think Jesus had a degree either, he seemed like a pretty famous guy.:D
