Hi all! I hope all is well with everyone.

Recently, I had left my old job as a Medical Social Worker and I am now working at a university campus as the coordinator for students with disabilities. This is a big career step for me, since I am very close to completing my PhD, and defiately would want to teach.

Not much has been done with the program in the last several years and I feel It can be doing a lot more than it is for the students. The DSS office shares and office with the student counseling center and there are very few staff assigned to administer the program (Me and two assistants). I wanted to get an Idea of how other DSS offices operate on other campuses - for I reall feel I can make this program grow. It is a city university and the freshmen enrollment for this semester was well over 700 students.

    Any input would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Hi Gina -
I had a friend who had a job exactly like yours and her degree was in Vocational Rehabilitation. Maybe that's a clue. Good luck.
