It seems that the interesting forums on education are fading away. There are less postings on my favorite degreeinfo.com and for three weeks degreeboard.com is closed because of "Corruption of Database"< LOL. What is happening is there a new "Blog du jour" ? Congrats anyhow for Degreeinfo!
I also noticed the decrease of posts here. This used to be my favorite place to log on to after catching up on the news.
I keep checking back, but it does seem discouraging that it will recover from it's corruption. I was going to email to ask, but apparently, that's been corrupted too.
I used to look in on that site once in a while. It seemed to me that for a long time they were only getting two or three posted messages per week. Maybe "corruption" is a code word for lack of interest.
I keep checking up at least once a day. They were still dead, effective as of yesterday. I have yet to check them today. I hope they're not totally dead. I'd like to get their list of RA schools that take NA credits.
I agree! IMO, the administrator/moderator of this forum was quite directive and was not receptive to some poster's with opinions that differed significantly from his own. In fact his attitude appeared to be "my way or the highway" and IMO this attitude did not promote his forum and did not provide the kind of milieu that encourages an open arena to discuss divergent perceptions and opinions.
Degreeboard Yea Ted, that is a great list. I also posted the results of the OCR investigation of Capella University before the lawsuit was filed by LaMarca. Those findings of fact are quite damming IMO. Since the suit was filed - I'd been advised not to comment on the matter further. Shawn
Degreeboard IMO Directive ? No he was a quasi fascist... not allowing anything that does not suit his credo. He censured a posting on a page in English from a Public University (université de Strasbourg I) on the French VAE... By the way here it is:http://www-ulp.u-strasbg.fr/article.php/1/20/1-080-124-064/validating-professional-knowledge
Over the years I've noticed an ebb and flow here in regards to discussion traffic. Some old-timers stick around, but many people come here for advice on how to complete their degrees, and when finished never come back to visit.
