I recently called the Tampa campus of Keller to ask some questions about the graduate certificate in accounting. I was asking what nights the classes were help, hours, etc. just to get some information. I explained that I travel a lot and would not be able to attend a Wednesday night class or just about any night except Monday, Friday, or the weekend.

The admissions rep gave me the online option. I expressed my concern over “learning” accounting online. I think that is a subject that would be easier to learn from a person rather then a book (that I experience talking). I asked if I could take online classes and drop in on a class from time-to-time if a point needs to be clarified.

I was told no one had ever asked that before and she would have to call me back. I got a call explaining that it would be difficult because the pace of the classes would probably be different (makes sense). Then she offered an alternative solution. She spoke to the dean and they offered to pay for a tutor if I needed one to go with the online classes!

If I was going to take this route, DeVry/Keller is a strong contender for a certificate program…not that I am interested – just curious. I know they charge $2,000 per class for a 3 credit class but UoP or any other school would not make such an offer. That is just plain old quality service.

My father completed a project management certificate from the Tampa campus of Keller both online and on-campus. The courses are challenging
and instructors demanding. You will not be disappointed.
