It's a damn shame how CNN and the likes of Larry King have shown more respect for Anna Nicole Smith than Mr. Falwell. Like him or not, he made a difference in this country.

I've never made any secret of my being a flaming leftist and so it would come as no surprise that I never liked his politics. However, he did found a very good university. I'm sure the good Lord said unto him, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant!"

Aw, Anna Nicole wasn't such a bad person; she just had a rough life!

John: Perhaps. But I really liked the SF Chronicle editorial cartoon this week. Shows Falwell approaching the pearly gates, and in the chair of St. Peter sits Tinky Winky the TeleTubby. http://tinyurl.com/yo4oy6

Ann Coulter had a great article about Falwell and Tinky Winky......but not if you're a flaming liberal. :D

Click here to read the article, starting with the 17th paragraph down.

Okay, well I've actually seen Teletubbies, and none of them are of any sort of determinable gender. They're just big blobby things, and while they're incredibly weird, they're also completely harmless.

One of the Teletubbies has a man's voice, but he carries a woman's purse.

To quote Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, "...it's a man, baby!" :D

My kids are (thankfully) beyond the Teletubbies stage. A childless co-worker asked me what the show was like, I said "Imagine a bunch of multi-colored, cuddly space aliens who live in a converted ammunition bunker, taking their orders from a detached, unseen man with a monotone voice that blasts out of a periscope". :D

Wow! As unsettling as Bruce's description is, it about sums the show up.

You forgot to mention their food addiction to "tubby custard". :D

Actually, this flaming p!$$ed off left-winger thought that it was a pretty good article. But I still don't understand enough about Tele Tubbies to know why people say Tinky Winky is gay.

I remember a few years ago on my birthday (January 21) I went out to karaoke wearing a Sponge Bob T-shirt that an ex-girlfriend (who has since become deceased) had given me, as it was the last clean shirt in my closet. As it would just so happen, some TV preacher (I forget who ... but it might have been Dr. Dobson) had just accused Sponge Bob of being gay. That night, some g..d... drunk accused me of being gay (I definitely am NOT) and threatened to beat the shyte out of me!
