I just opened up the mail to find an acceptance letter to grad school for my wife. Starting this fall, she will be commuting to the University of Central Oklahoma on the northside of OKC as a full time grad student in a Master of Science in Forensic Science Technical Investigations program. That is a great deal for us. Getting her through grad school is one of our major goals for this assignment. She knocked out her undergrad program through UMUC while we were stationed in England. I've got to admit. As I slog through more DL work, I am a bit envious of her for being able to attend a full time, in residence program - internships, hands-on experience, etc.
Congrats to your wife. UCO (or Central State or whatever else it used to be called) is a good school.
Yup, used to be called Central State University back in the 1980s ... forget when the name change came about.
It is official. Her M.S. in Forensic Science is complete. We just got back from the graduation ceremony where she walked with honors.
What a nice thing to happen . . . especially since you use the key word "commuting." I still remember vividly the day in 1986 when my wife said, after completing her distance masters at Dominguez Hills, "I've been following you around for years; now it's your turn to follow me. I'm going to Nashville for two or three years for the residential PhD at Vanderbilt, and you're welcome to come along." Go Bronchos.
