Great profile, and an excellent endorsement of DL.

We also appreciate the plug for DegreeInfo.com! :D

That's an interesting site, too. Interesting people.

The profile right after Abner is Angela, who took her first college course at 11, then returned to 6th grade, then got her Associates at 15, Bachelor's (Excelsior) at 16, and will complete her Master's at 18.

Then comes Henry, who will complete his Bachelor's (Western Governors) at 60 in a couple of years.

And then . . . (etc. etc. etc.)

Nice, Abner! Very polished, well written bio and "snapshot" of your DL career (so to speak). Did you submit the write up, enter info into a template, or did they do it for you? Just curious - I'm not meaning to imply that you couldn't have written it! :) :)

Thanks for the nice comments to you and everyone else. As far as the write up. I wrote it, then they slightly rearranged it into an interview format. I would say 95% of it is mine, and 5% is the editors. An example of the editors work was the "Not one to rest on his laurels, Abner went straight into a Masters program" statement. In some cases they shortened certain things in the interest of brevity. For instance, I also studied at UCLA, UCI and took various CLEP and DANTES exams. That became "He studied at various institutions of higher learning".

I think they did a great job, and I also think it is a great site. As Dr. Bear points out, there is a very interesting cross section of people.

Jigamafloo, I did not realize you were so close to your Masters! Good for you, December of 2007 will be here in no time!!! What a great Christmas present.

    Have a good one,

    Abner :)
