My good friend Mike had his LCGI evaluated by University of Miami Credential Evaluation Service.

He applied in Mid April 2006 and was notified today that they will refund his application.

The Service can't evaluate the LCGI award of City and Guilds.

They recommended he used another service.

I wander what was the motive.

He applied to another agency will post his results later.

But I personally think it was political decision not to evaluate the award - LCGI

If it was political, then they would have given you a crappy evaluation and kept the money.

    BTW, What is LCGI?

AACRAO evaluated the Licentiate award from City and Guilds
as a more advanced credential on the level of US Associate Degree.

The UM service claimed that it was work based credential, I think they are very wrong, because its n education, technical training and work based in a combined formula.

A bad evaluation would expose them as biased and crappy service.

Specially when others provide academic equivalency to this award.

They simply in my opinion as a University would like students to take more classes - $$$$$$$$$$.

The easiest way to earn LCGI is to complete 2 years of university or college and one year of industry work experience.

I don't know how are their other evaluations but this one is really off.

Just my opinion and AACRAO - the authority in this field and UK educational system etc.

The evaluation was for Mike who is a very good friend.
