Some one by the same user name Lerner registered at Military forum. That person wile using the same user name is not me. Some one on the same forum Guest - is copied my post from this site and posted there. Now I understand better why the degree discussion site hates me. I have noting to do with the Military site. Period. Learner
Learner, you shouldn’t bring here your fights elsewhere. But since you mentioned it, I am afraid they just have problems with your continuous and deliberate misspellings.
By the way my misspellings are not deliberate. At times I use hand helled device and its hard to type on it. When I'm by my PC there are no typos in my posts.
I don´t care, Lerner. I am just telling what their problem with you is. I read your posts any way you write them.
I would just like to note that originally, Lerner blamed his barely literate posts on being a native russian and not having a good grasp of English. He has used various other reasons since then. The latest reason is fine but not consistent with his original strange grammatical constructs.
Bill I have been encouraged by good hearted persons here and Gregg's support, so I 'm using spell check more often and really working hard to improve my English skills. I'm the same immigrant and if you provide phone number I can call you and we can have civil conversation. I have noting to hide. typos is one thing grammar is another. I'm taking English composition and another classes. If there is improvement in my posting skills is because of respect to readers and I'm sure there more work needed. And I repeat I don't post at the military site mentioned in my post. The Lerner there is not me. learner
I did pass TOEFL just by using a CD Rom Guide for TOEFL and TSE Once I'm ready I will try my luck with post graduate program not in Russia as I was thinking initially but I will study here in USA. I may want to get Post Graduate degree in Engineering or engineering management. I will post here once and if I get accepted. Learner
The way you spell it is impossible you passed the TOEFL (even though it is a multiple choice test ) Come on, Lerner, quit all this rubbish. Have some respect.
You may not believe but I actually produce lots of documentation at work. functional specifications, requirements etc. I'm constantly correspond via email with management and engineers so far I survived. I do presentations as well. This is not a joke I'm highly respected by my co workers and managers and serve as an SME in my field. But as I mentioned earlier I need to continue on the path of improving my English skills. I never failed tests I may score C but I never fail a test. When my wife was studying for GRE I took the GRE tests at home and did the assessment she was pleasantly surprised when I scored mach higher than she expected. In the past I took an MBA class at EBS and stopped because the English was to difficult for me. I read the text today and its very understandable. This is why I think I may have a chance at DSc in Eng Management.
Lerner, you sound like an American trying to sound like a foreigner. I repeat it to you, I don´t care how you present yourself, and I don´t care what are your reasons behind that behavior. All I am saying is that it is quite obvious to anyone here, but if it makes you happy to pretend you´re a foreigner, I have no problems with that whatsoever. But if you want respect from others maybe you should start by giving it. BTW, what is an SME?
Hi , SME is subject matter expert. To me its a complement that i sound American, . . I'm immigrant from Ukraine, I am very long time in USA so my conversational English a on higher level than my written English. Have a nice day and a weekend. learner
Hehe, Lerner, usually foreigners find it easier to write than to speak (you have more time to reflect, etc), but I guess you are an exception. Oky, than, my freind, I wesh you as will a whod weedend end a grait dei.
I work with quite a few foreigners (from Isreal). They, also, tend to speak better than they write. English is a hard language to write. I've been trying to write good English sentences for years and I ain't got it right yet! BReady
Ha! The guy has a perfect command of the English syntaxis, the way one builds the structure of a sentence, which is the most difficult part to learn for foreigners, but fails miserably to spell words like "are" (for arre") and stuff like that. Give us all a break, Lerner! Why does he do it? Beats me, but definitely it would constitute an interesting case for abnormal psychology studies. (just kidding, Lerner. Other than this excentricity, I enjoy your messages)
