As far as DI, DI is not affilitated with the other company except through Chip. It did cause the mass exodus we have recently seen on this board however. So the short answer is NO DI is not affliated what so ever with Porn..Chip White is affilated with porn but it is his companys are operating with in the law and are seperate.

I had learned of this whole brooh-ha-ha quite late, and did ask a few questions related to it. First, it started innocently, then I began to wonder given the response from the mods and the "homers." What I found was that every post I asked respectfully, with one exception, was deleted. And one entire thread. That threw up the red flags to me. John Rich, Steve, etc. are the pioneers in this field, and they sought to dissociate themselves. That also threw up a red flag. And then the mill owners accusations: Does Chip even have a higher degree? And why does he censure posts? And why not create a "Chinese wall"? I'd say folow the money, as there must be some interest here. Given these posts are Googled, and many here use real or not-so-transparent ids, is it kosher to be affiliated with a site-- even if it is tangentially-- affiliated with what may arguably labled as quasi-kiddie porn? If DI is truly a "resource", then segreate it from the porno altogether. That sould be a no-brainer. What Chip has done is set things back 10 years in the mills' favor.

I hope you spare us from your moral disquisitions and go tell them to someone who cares. We have had this debate long ago, and it belongs to the past. People come here to exchange information on DL. This site is already separate from the porno sites. What you are doing is setting things back in the mills'favor. You either shut-the-heck up or get-the-heck out, this kind of pandering to the diploma mill should be banned if it is not already.
Fine, Bill. This is the sort of homerism I was referring to. And if posts are deleted/edited over rasing a legit concern-- at whetever point in the debate-- why can't other content be changed due to commercial or other reasons? True academics should not be afraid from the exchange of idea and questions that may step on a toe or two. But I'm beginning to suspect the neighborhood has been cleared of them. It places this board in the same category as those other boards which shill for the mills. Consider this my "AMF" moment, to use the Greaseman's expression, as DI has lost its credibility.
How did it loss credibility? Chip does not "control" every thread...he barely posts anything compared to Rich D, John B, and others. If you ask me, they (Rich and John, Janko, and others) controlled this board! Are you questioning their credibility?
