Hello fellow members. I just wanted to say that I did not chime in on the porn issue. I stayed out of it. But now, since it is over, I just want to say that Degreeinfo is a pleasant place to post and have discussions. I do not see any threads where members are being bullied or attacked. It's great! I see posts where others disagree, but no one is personally attacking others. I just want to say that I hope others will feel free to join and post and try and help each other with our distance education and career goals. Thank you everyone, for making this a pleasant place again!
Well, THAT has to be the stupidest.....just kidding, Jacques. Thought I'd throw in a little gratuitous belligerence since we seem to be short on it lately. If it seems calmer to you after “weathering the porn storm”, why do you think that is? Just curious. Take care! Dave
I have a question about the "porn storm". I see alot of people absolutly trashing this site on usenet groups and the such. Can anyone fill me in with facts? Now, i dont really care what people do in there personal time, but isnt it funny how bad those groups are from a content standpoint? This site is by far the best DL site i have found, and I have to suspect alittle bit of envy here? Thanks....and thanks to the admin for a great place to chat and get help building not only our education but our lives...
Ispahn; This thread details it. http://forums.degreeinfo.com/showthread.php?threadid=23255&highlight=controversy Dave
Thanks... So people are pissed off because a successful person branched out into other areas...Typical
I am somewhat curious as to why a post I made on this thread yesterday was deleted So much for the free expression of ideas.
I didn't see the post that one of the other moderators deleted prior to the message above, so I cannot comment as to why it was deleted. The message immediately above was deleted because, even though it was intended as humor, it was not appropriate for DegreeInfo.
Blessed be the moderators. There is a saying in the newspaper business that fredom of the press extends to those that own the press -- but not to every kook that wants to use the press for their own agenda. Keep this forum on track.
